With a playful feel that doesn’t take itself too seriously, the beachfront abode brings a casual hotel dining and drinking experience to Manly’s lively food and wine scene, with a French-brasserie feel.
The much-loved local haunt has been transformed into a contemporary, laidback space, now known as Bistro Manly, with a coastal feel, with large sliding doors allowing the ocean views to pour in. An all-day dining menu features a selection of French bistro classics, premium fresh seafood, and a cultured cocktail list and bar menu, perfect for aperitif o'clock.
With stunning light-filled interiors, the bright and breezy dining room resembles a European style brasserie with elegant marble accents, artwork filled walls and pops of pink hues in the cosy booth seating making for the perfect dinner date or long lunch setting, with private dining spaces available for group bookings and events.
Executive head chef Ryan Dawson (prev. Cottage Point Inn, Sugar Palm Restaurant Palm Beach) and sous chef Toshi Ishihara (prev. Macleay Street Bistro, Cottage Point Inn) menu gives a nod to traditional French cooking featuring classics such as steak frites and croquet monsieur, to crème brulee and flaming bombe Alaska. The team prides themselves on nailing classic French culinary techniques, whilst utilising the freshest local seasonal seafood and produce, such as beautiful piece of line caught snapper paired with a yuzu beurre blanc sauce.
At Bistro Manly, an extensive breakfast buffet is already proving to be a favourite amongst visitors and locals alike. The casual à la carte menu available for lunch and dinner is sure to please. For those looking to just soak up the views casually whilst sipping a glass of wine can find an array of Australian and French wines and light snacks on the bar menu, available to enjoy from midday.
