Celebrating Christmas and the New Year in Manly

1. Manly Christmas Markets - Every Saturday & Sunday

Located in the laneways of Sydney Road and Market Lane, right in the heart of town, this unique open-air market is one of the top things to do in Manly on weekends. The market showcases emerging designs, fashion, gifts and farmers’ produce. Experience the family friendly atmosphere while you soak up the surrounds of inspiring boutique shops, bars and restaurants.

2. Manly Santa Sunday Session 2019 – 15 December 2019

Dust off your Santa suit and come and get festive at this annual Manly charity fundraiser, raising funds for Royal Far West, a local charity supporting country kids. The Manly Santa Sunday Session has continued to grow over the years and is now one of the most popular local fundraisers on the calendar.

Donate a minimum of $20 to receive your event wristband - this will then give you access to discounts and giveaways at pubs, bars and fast-food restaurants around Manly for the afternoon.

3. New Year’s Eve Fireworks – Monday, 31 December 2019

NYE will go off with a bang in Manly! Northern Beaches Council presents Dee Why Family Fireworks and supports the Manly Cove and Bayview Fireworks. There will be a 9pm fireworks display at Manly Cove, East and West Esplanade Reserves. The Bayview fireworks are presented by local businesses with support from Council. There will be two fireworks displays over Bayview at 9pm and midnight. Viewable from multiple outdoor vantage points around the area.

4. Sydney to Hobart Race on Boxing day – Tuesday, 26 December 2019
